The Fun and Exciting World of Weather Science

Adventures in Weather Science!!

Yesterday (July 8th) Mom and Dad took the girls to the National Weather Service Station in Medford for a informative mini-class on weather science and weather balloons.
This was a big deal because...Caitlin LOVES anything having to do with weather. She loves to watch the weather channel and too look up information about local and national weather online.
Caitlin being Autistic, becomes easily obsessed with things and weather is no exception.
She makes a point to tell us all what the weather is going to be like and where in the country they are going to have storms of any kind.
She's told us many times that she wants to grow up to work at the weather station, the weather channel or be a Meteorologist.
Caitlin is terrified of storms though, especially thunderstorms.

Anyway....she has been looking forward to this class at the weather station for a long time.
Thank You to my parents aka Grandma & Grandpa, for taking Caitlin and Natalie to the class.
Mom took pictures of their weather adventure, so I thought I would share them.

During the class the scientist explain weather patterns, data and weather balloons.

Getting ready for take off.

Caitlin LOVED the weather class...this is her happy face.

The weather balloon is released.

They had fun...and too much heat and sun (it was almost 100 degrees yesterday)
