Caitlin's Quilt

Quilt: Block of the Month
(Class on Craftsy)

My Mom has been taking quilting classes on an awesome craft site called Craftsy.

If you haven't checked it out...I suggest you do...even if you are a beginner, they have all kinds of information, classes, and tons of crafts to make and try.

Mom and her Mom (Hi Grandma!) have been taking classes on Craftsy and they finished a class called "Block of the Month." As you can guess...the class was to make a different quilt block each month and then at the end of the class...(12 months) you'd have a whole quilt to sew together.

So my Mom decided to make quilts for her Granddaughters...my girls: Caitlin (14) and Natalie (10 1/2).
The first pictures I am sharing are from Caitlin's quilt.
The quilts are beautiful and Mom should be proud of herself.
She didn't just make them these quilts, she put a lot of L-O-V-E into them.
In our family we understand that if you are going to make anything you need to put LOVE in it...otherwise, well..it just doesn't turn out so good.

Mom made Caitlin's quilt in all the colors that she loves, blues and reds and she incorporated fabrics that are of things that she loves too...especially Dragons.
To say that Caitlin loves dragons is a bit of an understatement.
On the back of the Quilt is a large dragon panel and it just looks beautiful!

My Daughter, Caitlin, is Autistic. She was diagnosed when she was 3 years old...she just turned 14 on
July 1st.
Grandma is giving her, her special quilt at her birthday party this week.
I know Caitlin is going to love it.

Here are pictures of it

Isn't it awesome?!
Yep...my Mom rocks and she's pretty special and talented.
